💜 When Something Feels Right… But Is It Right for Right Now?
Have you ever come across something that just speaks to your heart?
Something that makes you think, “Oh wow, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for!”
Well, that was me recently. 😂💜
I came across something beautiful that aligned with my values, my spiritual beliefs and some very personal wishes I have for the future.
I could see it. I could feel it. I was excited about it.
And before I knew it, I was already imagining how it would all unfold.
But then something made me stop and ask a few more questions.
Not because I suddenly stopped believing in what I’d found. Far from it.
I just wanted to understand what I was committing to.
And that started a whole different journey!
You see, sometimes we get so caught up in the beauty of an idea, or the feeling that something is meant to be, that we forget to ask ourselves a few important questions.
What is it I’m actually trying to achieve?
Why is this so important to me?
Am I making this decision because it’s right for me now, or because I feel I need to have everything sorted?
And perhaps the biggest question of all…
Is there another way to honour what matters to me without having to do it all today?
For me, this was connected to my own end-of-life wishes.
I’ve always believed in having these conversations, making plans and taking some of the guesswork away from our loved ones.
After all, that’s a big part of what I encourage others to do through Recruited by Universe.
But here’s the funny thing.
Even when you help others explore these conversations, sometimes Universe gives you a little reminder to practise what you preach! 😂
As I asked more questions and gave myself time to reflect, I realised I’d become so focused on the how that I’d almost lost sight of the why.
My intention hadn’t changed.
What mattered to me was still just as important.
But I realised there was more than one way to honour that intention.
And I didn’t have to make a significant commitment today simply because I’d fallen in love with the idea.
That was quite a powerful realisation.
Because changing your mind doesn’t necessarily mean changing your heart.
Sometimes it simply means you’ve gained a little more understanding.
I’ve also realised that asking questions isn’t being negative. It’s being informed.
Taking time isn’t procrastinating. Sometimes it’s giving yourself the space to see things more clearly.
And deciding not right now doesn’t have to mean never.
I still absolutely love what I discovered. I still believe in the vision behind it, and I hope to see it grow into something truly special.
But I’ve chosen to give myself some breathing room, document what matters most to me and allow the future to unfold.
And you know what?
I feel at peace with that.
Not because I have everything organised.
But because I now understand more clearly what is important to me.
✨ So here’s something I’d love you to think about.
If you’re facing a big decision, whether it’s about your future, your family, your finances, your health or your end-of-life wishes, give yourself permission to explore it properly.
Ask the questions, even the uncomfortable ones.
Listen to your intuition, but give yourself permission to look at the practical side too.
Talk it through with someone you trust.
And remember, you don’t always have to decide today.
Sometimes the greatest clarity comes when we stop asking “How do I make this happen?” and start asking “What is it I truly want?”
Because that’s where the real answers often begin. 💜
Plan with peace. Live with presence.
