Education & End-of-Life Planning
Information Gathering and one-on-one sessions designed to help individuals and families engage with end-of-life planning openly and gently. Together, we explore choices, values, and wishes—bringing clarity to what matters most.

What Is Education & End-of-Life Planning?
As I deepen my practice in this space, I offer evolving information gatherings and one-on-one guidance to help demystify end-of-life preparation. With a balance of compassion and practical insight, I aim to create a safe space where thoughtful planning becomes an empowering and heartfelt process.

Why Education & End-of-Life Planning Matters

  1. Reduces Anxiety & Uncertainty
    • Clear, step-by-step information removes guesswork—so you team up with professionals rather than scrambling at the last minute.
    • Honest conversations ease emotional burdens by bringing everyone onto the same page.
  2. Aligns Actions with Values
    • Rather than defaulting to generic “do-not-resuscitate” or “full code,” you choose medical or comfort measures that reflect personal beliefs.
    • Legacy exercises ensure your stories, traditions, and wishes are honored exactly as you intend.
  3. Protects Loved Ones
    • When documents are in order—wills, directives, powers of attorney—family members avoid confusion or conflict during difficult times.
    • Thoughtful planning reduces the financial and emotional burden on caregivers or executors.
  4. Empowers Informed Decisions
    • Access to reliable resources (lawyers, financial planners, counsellors) means you know exactly who to contact and when.
    • By understanding your rights and choices, you retain control over medical, legal, and end-of-life decisions.

How It Works

Schedule a Consultation (Free, 20 Minutes)

  • Brief phone or video call to discuss whether an Information Gathering group session or a private session fits your needs.
  • Answer any immediate questions and share your initial goals.
  1. Choose Your Format
    • Informational Gathering: Attend a small-group meeting (4–8 participants) over 2–3 hours, either in a community center or via video conference.
    • One-on-One: Book a 60- or 90-minute individual session (in-person or virtual) to dive deeper into personal concerns.
    • Book a Corporate Session: Bring End-of-Life Planning Education into your organisation through lunch-and-learns, wellbeing programs, or professional development events.
  2. Gather Materials & Pre-Work
    • Receive a simple checklist and worksheets: family tree, values inventory, current documents inventory.
    • Complete brief questionnaires to help focus our time together—e.g., “List three priorities for your legacy” or “Note any existing advance documents.”
  3. Engagement Phase
    • Information Gathering Attendees: Participate in guided activities, hear from guest professionals, and receive resource packets with sample forms and checklists.
    • One-on-One Clients: We review your documents, clarify legal/medical terminology, and co-create a personalized roadmap for next steps.
  4. Follow-Up & Accountability
    • Receive a summary of all action items (e.g., contact estate attorney by X date, update power of attorney forms).
    • Optionally schedule a check-in (30 minutes) 4–6 weeks later to address any lingering questions or obstacles.
